Cacao powder is the light brown powder which remains once the cacao butter has been extracted from the cacao bean.
It has a rich, bitter chocolate flavour.
Delicious when blended into smoothies, sprinkled into porridge or added to plain yoghurt. It can also be used in baking and for hot chocolate.
It doesn't look or taste more concentrated than regular store bought cocoa but I trust that the refining has been done differently so we're getting all the benefits from it. I add it to my coffee or smoothie.
